Berufsfachschule Davos (BFD)

Berufsfachschule Davos (BFD) is the official institution for vocational training in the Landwasser valley and surroundings. As a partner of several training companies, the vocational school educates retail and commercial apprentices as well as carpenters. The apprenticeships are completed with a Federal Certificate of Proficiency (EFZ) or a vocational baccalaureate.

The school’s students benefit from a differentiated, comprehensive, and flexible educational offer that promotes individual abilities and personal talent. Within Switzerland’s dual educational system, the BFD provides access to the tertiary level of education.

The BFD also supports young competitive athletes who want to pursue a dual vocational education. Commercial apprentices, for example, are offered a special course which makes it possible to extend the education by one year and thus have more time for intensive training and competitions.

The BFD is also official test centre for the European Certificate of Digital Literacy (ECDL) for the region of Prättigau/Davos.
The ECDL certificate confirms the apprentices’ knowledge in the safe use of various computer applications.
